England fans are expected to spill around 4.6 million pints of beer every time Gareth Southgate’s team scores a goal at Euro 2024 in Germany, according to research conducted by scientists on behalf of Aldi.
Dr. Eamon Fulcher, Professor of Cognitive Science at Split Second Research, stated, “We analyzed online videos of England fans in pubs and large-screen bar areas during live tournament matches. Our findings indicate that approximately 20% of pints are spilled – 15% are thrown into the air, and an additional 5% are spilled due to movement.”
To compensate for these spilt pints, Aldi is offering 1000 shoppers the chance to win free beer.
### How to Claim Free Beer at Aldi
Aldi is giving away 1000 £5 vouchers for use on beer in stores across the UK. To claim one, simply email your name and proof of ID to aldibeercheer@clarioncomms.co.uk. The first 1,000 to do so will receive their voucher in time for the Euro 2024 final on July 14.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said, “We’re used to seeing footage of beer flying through the air when England scores. Hopefully, we’ll see it a few times over the next month. That’s why we’re offering customers free vouchers and amazing prices on our beer range.”
