Missing People is a UK charity that looks to bring missing persons home. It lists missing people from across Sussex in a bid to collect information about their whereabouts and hopefully reunite them with their loved ones.
A missing person is reported every 90 seconds in the UK and there are currently 23 missing across Sussex of all ages and backgrounds.

Ervis Ndreca
Ervis went missing in Hove on July 14, 2022. He was aged 17 at the time of his disappearance.
Akil Dervishi
Akil has been missing since May 4, 2022, and was last seen in Sussex at the age of 17.
Hassan Hamoody
Hassan was last seen on April 2, 2022, at the age of 17 and also in Sussex.
Tigert Grosha
Tigert went missing in Sussex aged 16 on April 16, 2022.
Michael Nightingale
Michael disappeared from his home in Magham Down, Beachy Head, on April 7, 2022.
His van, a silver Peugeot Partner, was found parked on Beachy Head Road that evening.
He was aged 60 at the time of the disappearance.
Bruno Sauma De Paula
Bruno was last seen in a petrol station in Sutton Corner, Seaford, on December 10, 2021.
The 37-year-old at the time is from Eastbourne.
David Gibson
David, known as Kiwi, disappeared from Brighton on March 15, 2021, aged 37.
He has a New Zealand accent and links to Eastbourne as well as marinas across the south coast.
Owen Harding
Owen’s disappearance from Saltdean in 2020 raised alarm in the community and across the country.
The 16-year-old boy at the time went for a walk three days into the Covid-19 lockdown and never returned home.
This was followed by a huge community search effort and a candle vigil in people’s windows a year on.
His mother, Stella, also started a campaign to raise funds for Missing People in his memory.
Owen is a talented artist who attended Varndean College sixth form in Brighton.
Stella is still haunted by her son’s disappearance.
David Skerrett
David has been missing since June 15, 2019, from Bognor Regis.
He disappeared when he was 63 years old, which was described as “out of character”.
Ian Attfield
Ian went missing from Crawley on June 2, 2016, at the age of 58.
Hoang Nguyen
Aged 16, Hoang disappeared from Portslade on March 3, 2018.
Georgina Gharsallah
Georgina, aged 30 at the time, became the centre of a police review which found many failings in the investigation of her disappearance.
Sussex Police accepted 27 failings which included key CCTV footage not being reviewed until a year after the disappearance, CCTV segments being lost, and the early search for CCTV being limited in area and late.
The mum-of-two was last seen walking along Chapel Road in Worthing on March 7, 2018.
Georgina’s mum, Andrea, was still continuing the search five years on in 2023.
Gillian Affleck
Gillian went out for a walk on August 24, 2017, but did not return.
The Patcham woman was aged 50 at the time of her disappearance.
Her partner, Martina, led an eight-mile walk along the Sussex Downs to raise money for Missing People in the wake of Gillian’s disappearance.
Fatima Mohamed-Ali
Fatima has been missing since February 12, 2016.
She disappeared from Newhaven when she was 52, with the last sighting of her captured on CCTV walking along Avis Road.
The mother-of-three and grandmother remains missing, although in 2023 her husband, Mohamed Mohamed-Ali, renewed the appeal to find his missing wife.
James Hinton
James went missing from Herstmonceux on June 1, 2012, at the age of 26.
Phillip Palmer
Phillip, who has no fixed address, was last seen on August 22, 2012.
The man, who was 39 years old at the time, was well-known in Hastings.
He was last seen picking up medication from his local pharmacy.
Matthew Page
Matthew went missing at the age of 24 from Hove on January 1, 2006.
Bankoku Sasagawa
Bankoku, who was an architect, went missing on May 12, 2010.
He was aged 43 at the time and was travelling from Sussex to London.
The Arundel man was last seen after his friend left him at Arundel Railway Station.
Joyce Wells
The pensioner, who was 73 at the time, was due to see her daughter again the following Friday, but she was not there when she arrived.
Personal items such as her handbag were left at her property.
Elaine Taggart
Elaine, from Ferring, disappeared on January 3, 2008.
Her red Fiat Punto was found in Goring Street near the train station the following day.
Her husband, Andrew Taggart, was arrested for her murder but was released from bail terms. He has spoken out against the treatment of him by police.
Vera Osagiede
Vera went missing from Worthing on March 30, 2007, at the age of 16.
Lingran Lin
Lingran arrived in Hove with a Bejing language group in 2006, but went missing on July 29.
She spent her first night in the country with a host family in Glebe Villas, Hove, and began classes at Brighton and Hove City College.
However, she was last seen getting off a 49 bus on July 29.
James Funnell
James has been missing from Hastings since November 14, 2005.
He was last seen by his wife and was aged 50 at the time.
The last trace of the man was a note left in his home which read “I’m going out.”
