The current post office located on Station Road in Portslade is set to move to a new location further up the same road. Scheduled for closure on July 23 at 5:30 pm, the new branch, previously housing the Sunshine Tanning Studio, will open its doors on August 2 at 9 am. It will continue to be operated by the same postmaster, offering the same range of products and services, along with a convenience store within the premises.
Operating hours for the new branch will be from 9 am to 5:30 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 4 pm on Saturdays. The revamped venue will feature three serving positions, including two screened ones and one at the convenience store’s retail counter. Adjustments to the store entrance will ensure accessibility for all visitors.
In the interim, individuals are encouraged to utilize the Mill Lane Post Office in Mill Lane, Portslade, and the Parade Post Office in Hangleton Road, Hove, until the new branch officially opens.
