Over a dozen caravans, motorhomes and cars parked on fields and paths in Adur Park in Stone Cross near Eastbourne to set up their temporary home.
The caravans reportedly arrived in the village yesterday evening and were shortly met by police officers.
Aerial photographs of the scene show over a dozen vehicles parked near a path in the park and strewn across the field, managed by Westham Parish Council.
Sussex Police officers attended the scene yesterday evening to speak to the campers.
The force has been approached for comment.
The camp comes less than a week after around 20 caravans took over Preston Park in Brighton.
Deck chairs and umbrellas were set up outside motorhomes in the city centre park and dogs were left to run free alongside the A23.
