“Gillingham’s Mark Bonner Makes Second Summer Signing with Armani Little Joining from AFC Wimbledon
Mark Bonner, manager of Gillingham, has secured his second signing for the summer transfer window. The club has acquired midfielder Armani Little, who opted to join Gillingham after declining a new contract offer from AFC Wimbledon.
Describing the signing, Gillingham boss Mark Bonner praised Little’s qualities, stating, “Armani brings a valuable addition to our midfield. He’s a dynamic player with high energy levels and a strong personality on the field.”
Bonner added, “His presence will enhance our team’s balance, as he possesses excellent ball-handling skills and a wide passing range. Moreover, his character is one that will resonate with everyone and contribute to our team’s development.”
Having begun his career at Southampton, the 27-year-old midfielder showcased his talent during a loan stint with Woking in the 2018/19 season. This performance earned him a permanent move to Torquay in 2019, followed by a transfer to Forest Green in 2022 for an undisclosed fee.
Little then joined AFC Wimbledon on loan in January 2023, later making the move permanent last summer. During his time at Wimbledon, he made 44 appearances in the 2023/24 season, demonstrating his versatility and goal-scoring capabilities.
Expressing his enthusiasm about joining Gillingham, Little stated, “I’m thrilled to be here and eager to contribute. I thrive on being involved in the game, and I hope to make a positive impact with my play and goal-scoring abilities.”
