A red Peugeot 2008 and a black Audi S3 collided on the A26 Uckfield Road, near the Goldcliff Garden Centre in Ringmer, at 7:25 PM yesterday.
All four individuals involved—the drivers and passengers—were transported to the hospital following the crash.
A 23-year-old woman from Uckfield, a passenger in the Audi, sustained life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition.
The Audi’s driver, a 29-year-old man from Uckfield, also suffered serious injuries.
The Peugeot’s driver, a 28-year-old woman from Uckfield, sustained potentially life-changing injuries.
The passenger of the Peugeot, a 29-year-old man from Uckfield, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Firefighters and police responded to the scene.
Police are investigating the incident to determine the full circumstances and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. This includes individuals with CCTV footage or dashcam recordings from the area at the time.
