The World Naked Bike Ride in London has taken place annually since 2004, with the exception of 2020 when the ride was cancelled due to the pandemic.
Traditionally, the World Naked Bike Ride occurs on the second Saturday in June.
This year, it is scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, June 8.
The ride starts at points in Clapham Junction, Croydon, Hackney Wick, Kew Bridge, Regents Park, Tower Hill, and Wellington Arch.
There is also an accessible option for riders who are less able to do the full ride. The routes merge into a spectacular 1,000+ rider peloton.
No registration is required to participate in WNBR London, simply show up at the designated location with your bike at the right time.
Last year, organisers made a last-minute decision to cancel the Victoria Park start based on information from Tower Hamlets Council that suggested there was a possibility of violence in the park.
Instead of using the park, it has been relocated to Hackney Wick, which is just to the North-East of the park in the neighbouring borough of Hackney.
The World Naked Bike Ride is a peaceful protest designed to capture public interest and convey its messages through a fun and eye-catching spectacle.
The ride aims to draw attention to its objectives, including:
• Protest against the global dependency on oil
• Curb car culture • Obtain real rights for cyclists
• Demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists on city streets
• Celebrate body freedom
