The Doctor Who star was seen filming in Richardson Road and Lawrence Road, Hove, yesterday for a TV adaptation of Nick Cave’s novel, The Death of Bunny Monro.
The Crown actor was seen crossing the street in the latest in a handful of sightings in the city this month.
Crews erected a phone box and a bus stop for the village Barnham, near Chichester.
The 41-year-old actor was also seen getting into a brown Austin Allegro, a vintage car.
He was previously seen filming in a flat in Whitehawk, in Belchers Café in Montpelier Road and in Bedford Square.
The Hollywood actor rose to fame as the Eleventh Doctor in Doctor Who, starring alongside names such as Karen Gillen and David Tennant. He will fill the titular role in the new Sky Atlantic series.
The Death of Bunny Monro was published by Bad Seeds singer Nick Cave in 2009, with the television show being co-produced by both the author and Smith. The show will span six episodes.
