Glasgow Airport has introduced a new offering as part of its Twilight Bag Drop service, now providing complimentary one-hour parking across three airlines at the facility.
The aim of this move is to streamline holiday travel for passengers. Travelers can now conveniently drop off their luggage the evening before their flight, with the added benefit of free parking for up to one hour in the multi-storey car park located directly opposite the terminal.
Passengers utilizing the bag drop service will also receive a QR code, granting them a 50% discount voucher for Priority Security for use the next morning.
Currently, three major airlines – easyJet, Jet2.com, and Tui – are offering this service at Glasgow Airport.
The process for utilizing the bag drop service is divided into four steps:
- Online check-in and boarding pass download with the airline.
- Parking in the designated orange one-hour bays on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park the night before the flight.
- Taking hold luggage, passports, and booking details to the designated Twilight Bag Drop areas of the airlines, where passengers receive their QR code for the security discount.
- Validating the one-hour free parking at the car park payment machine using the vehicle registration and scanned airline boarding pass.
Mark Beveridge, Managing Director of Glasgow Airport, emphasized the popularity and convenience of the Twilight Bag Drop service, particularly for passengers residing near the airport or staying in local hotels before their travel day.
This service enhancement, along with the free parking and security discount, aims to provide passengers with a hassle-free experience at the start of their holiday journeys.
It’s important to note that this scheme is available only to passengers with flights departing before noon the following day.
