The pup was spotted on Seaford beach this morning with its parent.
Jaime Haslip rushed to the beach to take a photograph of the seals on the beach.
He said: “I grabbed my cameras and set out to the seafront hoping not to miss the spectacle. I expected to see crowds as there often are accompanying such an event, but Seaford was still sleeping.
“After a few moments of watching the baby seal and its mother, I took out my cameras and managed to capture some pictures of the new family.”
British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR), a charity in Uckfield that responds to marine mammals in distress, sent a volunteer down to the beach to check up on the pair.
“They both seem to be doing well,” said a spokeswoman for BDMLR.
“We think this might be the same seal that was on Seaford beach a couple of weeks ago.”
The charity also urged people to keep their distance when trying to see the seals.
“Stay well away,” the spokeswoman said.
“Seals can get quite stressed with lots of people around.”
