The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared a black-and-white photo with her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, and added hashtags suggesting Kroy had passed away.
The post, which included the hashtags “#RIP 💔 #LinkInBio,” led many followers to believe the worst. However, the linked article turned out to be a gallery of celebrities who had died in 2023, causing confusion and distress among fans.
Ariana, 22, took to TikTok to express her disbelief and concern. “I almost had a damn heart attack when I went on my Instagram,” she said. “I physically don’t have any f***ing words. The DMs I’m getting as well before I even saw the story.”
This isn’t the first time Kim has been under fire for misleading posts. In November 2023, she hinted at her daughter Brielle Biermann’s pregnancy by sharing a sonogram, only for it to be revealed later that Brielle was not expecting. The post was reportedly a clickbait tactic to generate revenue from an associated article.
Kim Zolciak rose to fame with her appearance on the debut season of RHOA in October 2008 and continued as a cast member until season 5. She later starred in Don’t Be Tardy, a reality show focusing on her family life with Kroy and their children, which ran for 8 seasons.
