As the Glasgow Times reported earlier, a planning application was submitted to build a five-storey complex on an empty land on Westmoreland Street.
The space attracted fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour and so was turned into a temporary greenspace by Glasgow City Council.
Bur now, the bid to create 16 homes was approved by planning officials.
According to papers, 13 parking spaces and a large bicycle store holding up to 20 bikes will also be provided at the ground floor level.

Originally, the proposal detailed 17 homes, which has been reduced due to concerns about density.
The document stated: “The proposal would address the housing shortage in Glasgow by providing visually pleasing residential accommodation, executed to a high standard.”
