The first robbery took place at the Domino’s Pizza on Swanley High Street just after 9:40pm on Saturday (March 23).
Kent Police say that a man allegedly entered the premises with what appeared to be a gun, “demanded” staff hand over money and reportedly stole cash from a till.
Another 999 call was made at around 6:30am the following day (March 24) to a second robbery at an Asda petrol station in London Road.
A man was reported to have entered the shop and, after “threatening staff with a knife”, stole cash before leaving the scene.
Karl Kaynar, 40, of no fixed address has been charged with two counts of robbery, theft, possession of an imitation firearm and possession of a knife in a public place, following an investigation conducted by West Kent Crime Squad.
Mr Kaynar appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on March 26, where he also faced two charges of possessing drugs, namely heroin and amphetamine, along with the other charges.
He was remanded in custody with his next hearing set to take place at Maidstone Crown Court on April 22.
A 48-year-old woman from Sevenoaks was also arrested in connection with the offences and has been released on bail pending further enquires.
