The chain will open at the former site of Wilko in Market Place Shopping Centre after it bought several locations when the high street retailer went into administration last year.
Residents and shoppers have said they have seen the B&M store being refurbished ahead of the opening.
A spokeswoman for B&M confirmed the store will open in Burgess Hill on April 9.
It comes as the retailer is due to open a shop in Worthing next week.
B&M will open its new site in the town at the Guildbourne Centre on Wednesday, February 21, creating 75 jobs.
Their Burgess Hill location will be the company’s seventh in Sussex, with two stores in Crawley, one in Bognor., one in Hastings and one in Eastbourne.
