A body has been discovered near a railway station in the search for missing 82-year-old Anthony Brown.
Police attended a location near Northfleet railway station in Gravesham this afternoon where a body was located.
A man was confirmed dead at the scene.
Mr Brown was last seen boarding a train at Higham Railway Station at around 4.15pm on January 18, wearing grey trousers, brown shoes with white socks, a burgundy jumper, and a long checked beige coat.
Earlier in the search for the 82-year-old from Reading police revealed his car had broken down on the M25.
He was also seen on CCTV using a walking stick and had visited Bluewater shopping centre in Greenhithe before making his way to the station.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, police say, but his family have been informed.
Mr Brown also had links to Gravesend, Woodley in Berkshire and Richmond.
The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
