Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 will see Christopher Robin’s friends in the Hundred Acre Wood, based on Ashdown Forest in Sussex, enter a destructive rage as they find their home and lives in danger.
In the movie, reportedly filmed in East Sussex again, Pooh and Piglet join forces with Tigger, Rabbit and Owl in a rampage through the town of Ashdown, leaving a “bloody trail of death and mayhem in their wake” as they seek to get revenge on Christopher.
The trailer sees the creatures attack a party full of young people, with Christopher Robin discovering a room with the bodies of several dead party-goers.
The original film, which was released in March last year, has been nominated for five awards at the Golden Raspberry Awards, also known as Razzies.
The nominations include Worst Picture, Worst Director and Worst Screen Couple for Pooh and Piglet.
The winners of the Razzies, which honour the worst cinematic failures of the year, will be announced on March 9.
The film was panned by critics, including Mark Kermode who described it as a “sub-Texas Chainsaw Massacre slog” and “depressingly poor”.
Despite this and its low $100,000 budget, the film attracted $6 million at the box office.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 will be released later this year.
