A road has been forced to close for three weeks after a sinkhole appeared.
The “void” in Church Street, Margate, was first noticed around 4.30pm today (January 26).

The incident was reported in the carriageway between Poets Corner and the junction with Arnold Road.
Kent Highways has been alerted to the issue and a road closure has been put in place.
On a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, they said: “Road closed 26th January for up to 21 days due to a void in carriageway between Poets Corner and the junction with Arnold Road.”
A diversion is in place via Milton Avenue.
Police were reported to be in attendance close to where the void is which has taken out part of a side wall.
They have been asked for more information.
