Children from Brighton Horizons nursery and preschool in Buckingham Road, Shoreham, took gifts to the residents of Meadowcroft Care Home just down the road.
Every Wednesday, the nursery takes their three to five-year-olds to visit the care home, where they take part in activities and chat to to the residents.
On December 22, the children walked over to the care home and gave out their gifts. The nursery also made their own gift tags to add a personal touch to the presents.
Rachel Morris, nursery manager at Bright Horizons, said: “We are thrilled to see the positive impact our visits to Meadowcroft care home have on both the children and the residents. It’s heart warming to witness the genuine connections formed between the generations and the joy it brings to everyone involved.”
“The visit to Meadowcroft aligns with Bright Horizons commitment to providing enriching experiences for children and fostering a sense of social responsibility as part of their curriculum.
“By engaging in activities in the community, we aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment that nurtures the children’s holistic development.”
