Jason Price, currently 51, attempted to meet the girl in Frimley, Surrey, on September 3 this year with the intention of having sex with her.
Price, of Balcombe Road, Crawley, also tried to engage in sexual communication with a child on or before September 3.
He pleaded guilty to all charges in October.
Price sent pictures of his penis, discussed abduction and encouraged her to meet for sexual purposes.
His sentencing has been adjourned until January 24 at Lewes Crown Court.
Price’s date of birth is January 24, 1972.
Judge Christine Laing KC adjourned the case so she could see a report of Price’s “medical issues”.
