The event, at the charity’s National Cat Adoption Centre in Lewes Road, Chelwood Gate, will be held between 11am and 3pm on December 10, with sleigh rides to see Santa in his grotto taking place throughout the day.
As well as the man in red, there will be refreshments, stalls, games and a raffle, as well as carol singing from ReChoired.
Visitors will be able to meet some of the cats currently being cared for at Cats Protection’s National Cat Adoption Centre near Lewes while they wait to find a new owner.
The centre’s deputy manager Tania Marsh said: “Our Christmas fair is one of the highlights of our year, and we’re really looking forward to getting into the festive mood with fellow cat lovers.
“All funds raised will go to help cats in our care, helping to give them a brighter 2024.”
Tickets to see Santa will be available on the day, priced at £6.50, which will include a special tractor-sleigh ride and a gift.
Among the cats currently being cared for by staff is four-year-old Boo, who has been at the centre since June. Although she’s not keen on too much attention and can be a little shy at first, she will come round and enjoys a fuss given time and patience.
Also looking for a new home is Sammy who was found living as a stray at the age of 14. While he is an older cat, Sammy still has plenty of energy and loves to play before curling up for a snooze and fuss on a lap.
